CANINE GOOD CITIZENSHIP (CGC The next registration date for the CGC Class will be on July 15, 2008. Class runs on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00pm. The class is 6 sessions, with the last class being the CGC test date. The cost for the class is $60.00 and the cost for the CGC test is $10.00. The class will be taught by Kathy Kilpatrick If your dog is not ready to test on test night, or does not pass the test, students may repeat the class for $40. The cost of the CGC class is $60 for the session. This does not include the $10.00 CGC testing fee. Anyone whose dog is ready to test and does not need the class can take the test for $10.00 on test night. CGC class students will take priority on test night, but all who come will be tested.
CGC CLASS SCHEDULE The ten steps that must be passed to earn a CGC certificate are 1. Accepting a friendly stranter 2. Sitting politely for petting 3. Appearance and grooming 4. Out for a walk (walking on a loose leash) 5. Walking through a crowd 6. Sit and down on command/staying in place 7. Coming when called 8. Reaction to another dog 9. Reaction to distractions 10.
